According to the call of 2020 of the procedure for granting subsidies to “R&D Projects” of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2017-2020, the requirements are the following:
- Obligations of the beneficiaries (article 19.2): research data must be deposited in institutional, national and/or international repositories within two years from the end of the project, in order to promote access to research data from funded grants.
- Evaluation criteria (annex I, section 3): the plan for scientific-technical publications, presentations and communications to congresses and other mainly international forums will be assessed; patents and other results included in the proposal, and where relevant, the research data management plan (DMP) associated with the results.
- The DMP must be submitted, if required, together with the intermediate and final monitoring reports of the financed project.
- It is recommended that all research data resulting from publicly funded projects are always FAIR and, whenever possible, open.
