In the event of loss, theft, robbery, destruction or irreparable damage to a Library laptop, you should contact us at the desk where you borrowed it as soon as possible to explain what happened. The situation will be studied and you will be advised, if necessary, how to pay the replacement value of the laptop, depending on the model and age of the computer.
If you cause damage due to misuse, the University's IT staff (ASIC) will assess the damage and may apply a block on library services and claim payment for the repair, if necessary. Under no circumstances should you send the computer yourself to an external technical service.
