In addition to the case of transformative agreements, UPV researchers have institutional discounts for APCs with these two publishers:

• MDPI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute): 10% discount on the APC for each article published by the UPV member of MDPI. UPV's institutional email should be used in communications with the publisher, identifying yourself as University staff.

• DYNA Engineering journals: 15% discount on the APC since UPV subscribes to the four journals they publish. See more information here

Researchers may also qualify for other personal discounts in specific cases. For example, the Institute of Physics (IOP) offers discounts for IOP reviewers when they publish in IOP journals. Also, if you are a member of the scientific society of the journal in which you are going to publish your work, you can usually obtain a discount.
